NOBLE, Benjamin Bell

Son of Pharmacist, John Noble, and his wife, Emily Hannah Russel Noble, Bemjamin Bell Noble joined the High School in September, 1897, at the age of 9. He left 9 years later to go to Durham College of Medicine and, after graduating, became a doctor. He served in the Royal Army Medical Corps in France, as Lieutenant and then Captain, and was injured in August, 1916. After the war, he continued as a doctor in Choppington, Northumberland, and retired in July 1958. He was living in Rothbury when he died at the Minories Nursing Home in Newcastle at the begining of 1960. |
