from 1916 to 1922, following which she went to Armstrong

Armed with her qualifications she returned to her old school

September 1927 she joined the staff full time, including through
its restructuring to the Girls' High School.
She left the Girls' school in 1938, and three years later,
in 1941, she joined the staff of the Boys' High School
where she stayed until summer, 1947, when she returned
to teach at the High School for Girls.
