1955 (May 25 & 26) - The Great Bell of Burley
An opera with music by Dr Armstrong Gibbs. Mr Jackaman reported in the July 1956 ATOM that "the acting, singing, stage settings and the colourful costumes of the middle ages all combined to create the grand entertainment". In the centre of the front row, in the fetching light-coloured tights, is Gordon Dixon who kindly provided the photograph. He and I both wonder if anyone else would be willing to identify themselves.
